Topic: Cell Reference

Introduction:
A cell reference refers to a cell or a range of cells on a worksheet and can be used in a formula so that Microsoft Office Excel can find the values or data that you want that formula to calculate. Now there are three kinds of cell references that you can use in Excel:

For example, in a spreadsheet, a cell with a relative reference changes its formula when copied elsewhere. Contrast with absolute reference.

Absolute Cell References:
There is a shortcut for placing absolute cell references in your formulas! When you are typing your formula, after you type a cell reference - press the F4 key. Excel automatically makes the cell reference absolute! By continuing to press F4, Excel will cycle through all of the absolute reference possibilities.

Relative Cell References:
An address or pointer that changes when the target item is moved or the relationship to it has changed.

Mixed Cell References:
Mixed Reference is a type of Absolute reference in which either the column is made constant or the row is made constant. When we make any column or row constantly then the column name or row number does not change as we copy the formula to other cells (s). We also provide
