🤔 ABOUT THIS Lesson 👇
HOW TO USE XLOOKUP FUNCTION WITH MULTIPLE RETURNS BY EXCEL IN A MINUTE
Welcome to Excel in a Minute!
Introduction
In this part of the script, we should be able to answer the question: What is this lesson?
Other Excel lookup functions can give you 1 return value only. However, the X LOOKUP function can give you multiple return values from a single formula.
In this video, we will show you a quick demo on how to return multiple values using X LOOKUP.
In this part, answer the question: When and where can the lesson be used?
The X LOOKUP is a function that searches a value from a horizontal or vertical array, then returns a value from a specified return array.
The function runs on six arguments where only the first three are required.
In this lesson, we will focus on the return array. In X LOOKUP, the number of columns or rows in the return array indicates the number of return values.
To return multiple values, you must include multiple columns for vertical lookup, or rows for horizontal lookup as the return array. However, note that this will only work if the columns or rows are positioned side-by-side.
