Executive Council of Australian Jewry Co-CEO Alex Ryvchin says the pro-Palestine rally at the Opera House was a “national embarrassment”.
Mr Ryvchin sat with Sky News host Peta Credlin to discuss the escalation of the Hamas-Israel conflict and the pro-Palestine protests in Australia.
“It’s one thing to permit people to assemble and to protest in a free society, but there was absolutely no reason why they needed … to march from Town Hall to the Opera House,” he told Ms Credlin.
“What it did was it created a scene which is frankly a national embarrassment.
“We now have images projected around the world of this rabble of vicious men chanting and lighting flares and calling for the gassing of my people at the footsteps of our most iconic monument.”
