If SUM function keep returning 0 even after changing the cell formats to numbers, then watch this 1 minute video to learn how to fix it.
Step 1: Make sure there is no symbol with the numbers. "-" is okay because it represents the negative sign.

Unfortunately, the SUM function still doesn't work even after changing the cells formats to number. So, you need to use a function called "NUMBERVALUE" to convert the values to numbers.
